Seminarian Benjamin King takes his first vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience on June 27 in the Miles Christi Chapel in Lujan, Argentina. Ben is the grandson of Pat and Mary Alyce Hall. After the homily Ben was assisted into his “Habit”, as the cassock is called. Although his family was unable to attend the ceremony due to the COVID-19 quarantine, they were able to view the broadcast on-line.
The St. Clare Knights of Columbus have supported Ben on his journey through the (RSVP) Seminarian Support Program the last few years. His next step is a few years study of Theology in Rome after which he looks forward to ordination. His duties will be working with young Catholics in the U.S. where Miles Christi has locations in Michigan and California. Congratulations to the entire family.

Sunday, May 10 after 5:30 mass, complete with social distancing precautions, Grand Knight Dave Fronick presented Father Vincent with a $1000 Pastor’s Discretion check. Coincidentally, since it was also Father Vincent’s birthday, he was also presented with a birthday card.

The Council recently received its first Bingo Prize Fee distribution check.
